Guide · Vendor GTM

The sales intelligence stack for franchise software vendors.

If you sell software into US franchise systems, you need three things before a sequence goes out: which brands fit your product, whether the tech category is open or locked, and who decides. FranCloud owns the first two from FDD filings. Contact tools and your CRM own the rest.

01

The three-layer stack

Layer 1 · Franchise fit

FranCloud

Paste your product URL or talk to the live analyst. Get brands ranked to what you sell, with growth, multi-unit shape, mandated tech, and filing-grounded openers. Analyze · Live AI · MCP

Layer 2 · Contacts

ZoomInfo, Apollo, or your enrichment waterfall

Use these for emails, phones, and org charts once FranCloud has named the account and the role pattern (HQ tech, ops, finance). Do not start here if you do not yet know fit or mandate status.

Layer 3 · Execution

CRM + sequencer

HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, or your stack. Push FranCloud shortlists and openers into the motion your reps already run. FranCloud is not trying to replace your sequencer.

A simple weekly motion

  1. Run or refresh your product through Analyze (or the live AI analyst).
  2. Keep pursue-list brands where the category is open or a displacement window is real. Drop locked bad-fit accounts before anyone dials.
  3. Enrich HQ and multi-unit roles in your contact tool. Use FranCloud’s role pattern, not a generic “VP” spray.
  4. Sequence with filing-grounded openers (units, growth, mandate state). That is the difference between spam and a credible first touch.

Common questions

Stack questions

Use three layers: (1) FranCloud for FDD-sourced fit, tech mandates, and openers, (2) a contact database such as ZoomInfo or Apollo for emails and phones, (3) your sequencer or CRM for execution. FranCloud is not a replacement for contacts; it is the franchise-fit layer those tools lack.
Generic databases do not tell you whether a brand mandates a competitor, leaves a category open, or is growing units from the filing. Without that, reps burn cycles on locked or bad-fit systems. Pair contact data with filing intelligence.
FRANdata is strong for institutional research and custom studies. FranCloud is the always-on GTM layer: product-fit ranking, mandated tech, and outreach from filings. Many teams keep research relationships and still need a daily account list. See /vs/frandata.
