Plain-language summary. We build FranCloud from primary business filings — public records about franchise brands. We don’t track you across the web, we don’t sell your personal data, and the company information in our product comes from documents companies are legally required to publish. This page is the formal version.

01 Who this policy covers

This policy explains how FranCloud, Inc. (“FranCloud,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you visit our website, create an account, or use our products and reports. It applies to prospects, customers, and visitors. It does not change any separate agreement you’ve signed with us — where a signed order form or master agreement conflicts with this policy, that agreement controls.

02 Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the product and the relationship:

  • You give us: name, work email, company, role, and anything you submit through forms, the analyze tool, the voice line, or a sales conversation.
  • Product URLs you enter: when you analyze a site, we process the URL and its public pages to detect what you sell. We treat that input as yours.
  • Account & billing: if you subscribe, we keep account settings and billing records (payment details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us).
  • Usage: basic, privacy-respecting telemetry — pages viewed, features used, and diagnostic logs — to keep the product fast and reliable.

03 Our franchise data

The franchise intelligence inside FranCloud is built from primary business filings and other lawful sources — records that franchise brands are required to publish. This is information about companies, not about you. Where a data point is not drawn from a filing, we label it as a verified public signal so its origin is clear.

If you represent a brand in our directory and believe a published figure is inaccurate, tell us and we’ll review it against the source.

04 How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the product and your reports.
  • To respond to you, schedule demos, and support your account.
  • To send service messages and — only if you opt in — research and product updates.
  • To secure the platform, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use the contents of your analyze inputs to build a profile of you across the web.

05 When we share

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, payment, email) under contracts that limit them to working on our behalf.
  • Authorities when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
  • A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale — with notice.

06 Cookies & analytics

We use a small set of cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required.

07 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. To exercise any of these, contact us — we’ll verify your request and respond within the timeframe the law requires. You won’t be charged or penalized for asking.

08 Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe and to notify you promptly if something material happens. Enterprise customers can request our security overview and complete a review.

09 Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When it’s no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

10 Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll give you a clearer heads-up — by email or an in-product notice.
