Salt Suite vs ACASA Senior Care
Two franchise systems, side by side. For a software vendor, they are not the same opportunity.
ACASA Senior Care wins on timing and terrain, and that’s where our near-term revenue sits. Their 40% YoY unit growth against Salt Suite’s flat footprint signals a franchise system in active expansion mode—new locations opening, new operators onboarding, and a pressing need to standardize POS, scheduling, and back-office from day one. The 2025 FDD filing (fresh, not overdue) reinforces that this is a brand executing on growth, not stuck in compliance lag. Terrain matters too: ACASA’s lower per-unit investment range ($83k–$134k) means franchisees have more working capital post-launch for software that drives efficiency, rather than being cash-strapped by a $240k–$488k buildout like Salt Suite demands. That’s a smoother sales cycle for us, with fewer budget objections.
The tradeoff is TAM. Salt Suite technically has one more total unit and one more franchised location today, which gives it a marginally larger installed base to sell into right now. But a 9-unit chain with zero growth and an overdue FDD is a system in stasis, not a land-grab. ACASA’s 8 total units may be smaller in absolute count, but at 40% growth, it’ll surpass Salt Suite quickly—and every new unit is a greenfield software opportunity with no rip-and-replace friction. ACASA’s $6.9M AUV also dwarfs typical Salt Suite economics (their AUV isn’t even listed, a red flag), meaning ACASA franchisees can afford multi-module deals, not just point-solution purchases.
Procurement is a wash—both use “approved_supplier,” so neither gives us an automatic trojan horse via preferred-vendor lock. But ACASA’s combination of high AUV, aggressive unit growth, and lighter capital burden on franchisees makes it the account where we can close faster, land bigger average deal sizes, and ride a rising unit count for years. Salt Suite is a stagnant, higher-friction sell with a sliver more TAM that isn’t growing.
Verdict: ACASA Senior Care is the stronger software-sales opportunity—growth trajectory and franchisee wallet-share outweigh Salt Suite’s trivial unit-count edge.
